Interested in fashion design? Elevate your design skills and jumpstart your personal brand through the New York Fashion Week program at IDA New York. 

Every year, our students receive special permission to participate in New York Fashion Week – not just as attendees, but as designers. From research and design to development and execution, the New York Fashion Week program gives students the opportunity to live their wildest fashion dreams, premiering their pieces on one of the world’s biggest fashion stages while forming connections with the international fashion community.


Program Outline

First, immerse into all aspects of the fashion design process, including fashion fundamentals, basic garment construction methods, fashion marketing/branding and more. Then fly to NYC to exhibit your final pieces!

You’re in good hands at Green Apple Art Centre. Our instructors have years of experience taking groups of students to New York Fashion Week, guiding them through every step of the design process, from the classroom to the runway.

JAVIER ESTEBECORENA

MFD, Universidad de Buenos Aires

Javier Estebecorena is an award winning Fashion Designer who received international acclaim for his clothing brand HE (Hermanos Estebecorena) that operated globally for over 17 years producing innovative and functional design. Javier has over 20 years in Academia teaching design in Buenos Aires University, VCad and Lassalle Colleges; and Design Thinking Consultancy through in house programs and Executive MBA courses, working with public and private sector clients.

ALISON GUAN

Program Director of IDA New York

Co-founder and Program Director of IDA, Alison is a member of the American College Admissions Advisory Association and the Admissions Advisory Association. She imparts her knowledge of painting enthusiastically while constantly enlarging her own body of work. Through a wide variety of proven academic and contemporary methods, she has developed an ability to mentor her students, ensuring that their point of view is expressed with the utmost clarity. Her guidance has allowed them to overcome their creative blocks and to gain valuable confidence in putting together a successful portfolio. Research and development and self-challenging learning modes are at the core of her teaching method. She has found a unique way to navigate today’s multidisciplinary context, providing a framework for artists to think outside of the box. GAAC has attained an international reputation with the Scholastic Art and Writing Award, where it snatched more than 20 gold and silver medals. Her guidance and unwavering support have propelled her students to New York Fashion Week, Vancouver International Art Exhibition, and the International Art Exchange Exhibition.
